Fitness Center

Located on the 2nd floor, our 6,487 square feet facility is equipped with cardiovascular equipment with integrated TV’s & Wi-Fi capabilities, peloton bikes with free subscription, free weight equipment, group fitness classes in the studio, fully appointed locker/changing rooms, showers, sauna, and towel service. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is accessible by using a building access card (key fob). Access is granted once Management receives a signed Fitness Center Waiver.

 

Starting Thursday, June 29th, 2023, onwards the fitness center will be temporarily closed every Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 10 am and 11 am for thorough cleaning of all the equipment. This closure will allow our dedicated team to conduct a comprehensive cleaning of the facility, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are met. We assure you that our dedicated cleaning staff will work diligently to complete the cleaning process promptly so that the fitness center can be reopened to all tenants immediately after the scheduled cleaning time. We encourage you to adjust your exercise routine accordingly to accommodate this temporary closure. We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

NOW OPEN The fitness center at 250 Massachusetts Ave. is now open to all 250 Mass Tenants. Located on the 2nd floor, the fitness center at 250 is equipped with similar equipment to 200 Mass but programmed differently. Tenants can expect the same level of high-end finishes and equipment.

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Fitness Center Director, Bailey McGuire, who will be taking the lead in guiding our fitness facilities at both 200 and 250 Mass. Bailey will be spearheading innovative fitness and wellness programs, and focusing on personalized training approaches that cater to the diverse needs of our tenants. We aim to enhance the overall fitness center experience, ensuring everyone’s journey to a healthier lifestyle is both enjoyable and rewarding. You can find Bailey at the reception desk in the 250 Mass Fitness Center. 

Group classes will start on August 14th. These classes are subject to change based on tenant interest and participation.

Fitness Center FAQ’s

  1. How do I make a reservation for the fitness center?
    Only the fitness studio can be reserved. Reservations can be made through the Tenant Center.
  2. What amenities does the fitness center and locker room have?
    As an employee of Capitol Crossing you are able to have access to your tower's fitness center, sign up and attend group exercise classes through mindbody, day time locker accessibility, and restrooms (shower, sauna, changing room).
  3. How to I gain access to the fitness center?
    A signed fitness center waiver must be filled out and turned in to management or your Fitness Director in order for access to be added to your fob. Waivers can be picked up from your new Fitness Director or can be found on above.
  4. What are the hours of operation of the fitness center?
    While tenants have access to the fitness center 24/7/365 with their fobs. The fitness center is open Monday through Friday from 7 am – 7 pm (closed T. - Th. 10 am - 11 am)
    Saturday from 7 am - 1 pm 
    Sunday closed
    Mechanical systems are not operational outside of these hours.
  5. Can family members use the fitness center?
    Yes, Capitol Crossing Advisors does allow family members to use the fitness center and we must have a signed waiver on file. However, we will not provide a separate fob for each family member, this will need to be coordinated with the host. Any children using the fitness center must be 16+ and under the constant and direct supervision of their parent.
  6. Is there WiFi in the fitness center?
    Yes, the fitness center does have complimentary Wifi. The password is 200MassFitness.
  7. Do we have to pay for the Peloton Subscription?
    No, the Peloton subscription is already paid for by Capitol Crossing Advisors. All you have to do is create an account and keep track of your progress.
  8. Are there any personal trainers available?
    Yes! Your Fitness Director is also a trainer. There is a variety of packages to pick from including one- on- one 55 min sessions, one-on-one 30 min sessions, buddy training, and small group training options. To learn more, reach out to Baileybmcguire@aagfitness.com. If you would like to bring your own fitness center, you must sign a Personal Trainer Waiver and Release of Liability form.
  9. How do I lock my locker?
    Instructions on how to use the lockers can be found here.
  10. What should I do if I forget my locker Code?
    In the event that a tenant forgets their locker code, during business hours, your Fitness Director will be able to assist. Any after-hours requests, will have to wait for the following morning.
  11. Can I store items in my locker?
    No! Lockers rooms are solely for use during the use of the fitness center. Items may not be stored in lockers overnight. Periodically management will send a note to notify tenants that items will be emptied out of the lockers. Tenants will have a set number of days to claim said items.
  12. How do I sign up for group exercise classes?
    Your Fitness Director, Bailey, will be giving out flyers with the QR code to get into the mindbody app. From there you will need to create an account. MindBody is a big platform nationwide, so you will need this QR code to have access to sign up for the classes. Once you are signed up you are good to go! You will be able to see the weekly schedule and the classes we provide that you can choose from.
  13. What kind of classes will the fitness center offer?
    We teach a variety of classes ranging from HIIT, bootcamp style classes, total body conditioning, spin, and yoga! If you have a style class that you are interested in, let your fitness director know! We love to hear from you guys as to what you would like! These current classes are subject to change depending on employees’ interests.
  14. What skill level is needed to take these classes?
    No skill level is required. These group exercise classes are made to follow along with the instructor, but follow at your own pace as needed. Everyone has different goals and different experience levels, so just have fun with it! Even if you haven’t tried one of these classes before we encourage you to give it a try. You never know when you may find a new passion! We are here to support you with your fitness journey :)
  15. Are fitness assessments offered?
    Yes, we do offer free 30 min fitness assessments to help you get an understanding of where your fitness levels are at. Many times people like to tryout the fitness assessments prior to signing up for a personal training package.
  16. What does the fitness director do? 
    Your fitness director is here to assist you by teaching classes, answering questions in her scope of practice, keeping the fitness center well attended, and personal training. 
  17. Who is the Fitness Director / credentials / experience? 
    Bailey is your fitness director here at Capitol Crossing for both 200 and 250 fitness centers. She graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in business. She has a personal training certification through ACSM and is CPRO certified through the red cross. As for her past experiences she worked with her universities athletic training program specifically with the swim and dive team and was a Fitness Manager and Fitness Instructor at her campus recreation, UREC. She also completed her internship with another Fitness Center in D.C. where she taught a variety of classes.
  18. When is the Fitness Director in the Fitness Center?
    Bailey is currently here from Mon-Wed 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Thurs. 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. You still have full access to the gym when she is not in the building.
